Friday, May 26, 2017 – Day 26
Leadership Retreat starts tonight.  OTF with my Sarah burned 866 but distracted b/c I was working on my training – Building The Belief Muscle.  Everything turned out fine.

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range.
For the day I burned 3,211 calories.
I took in 2,066 calories.
The net deficit was 1,145  calories.
I slept 4:09 b/c we went out on the boat until 1:30 am
I drank 110 oz of water.
Bottom line – Today was a win.

Thursday, May 25, 2017 – Day 25
I’m pissed.  I have a 5% weight loss right now and there’s a guy at 7.96% loss.  I should have delayed my “weight loss attack” by 1 week.  Here’s what I did:  I got home from Norway on 4/22 and weighed 230.  On 4/27 OTF weighed me and I weighed 224.6!!!!   That’s basically 6 lbs loss I didn’t get credit for. I have 14 days to finish this thing and and I’m to finish strong.  Aikido in the morning and burned 170 calories and OTF in the evening and burned 869 calories.

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range, although I ran out of time to eat breakfast and was around 250 calories.
For the day I burned 2,939 calories.

Wednesday, May 24, 2017 – Day 24
Aikido in the evening and burned 420 calories.  Super hard class, required tons of empty minded concentration – if that makes any sense at all.  Got to work out with some hammers, the amount of power they generate is mind boggling to me!

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range.
For the day I burned 2,893 calories.
I took in 2,391 calories.
The net deficit was 502 calories.
I slept 6:54
I drank 114 oz of water.
Bottom line – Today was a big win.

Tuesday, May 23, 2017 – Day 23
Aikido in the evening and burned 579 calories.  After having stem cells injected into my knees, my knees hurt at about 6 on the pain scale.  We also did an interesting exercise to gauge fitness on the mat specifically for Aikido.  1 repetition was attack, get a technique applied to you and then fall.  The idea was to do that 8 times in 30 seconds or less, I did it in 32 seconds.  Cool concept but out of my wheelhouse – at my skill level that feels way too high risk to do again.  I have to safely get my 50 year old, 6′ 2″, 215 pound body 12′ round trip on every fall – too many things can go wrong if I push hard enough to

Monday, May 22, 2017 – Day 22
OTF in the morning and burned 832 calories.  Had to skip Aikido to go to the kids school awards ceremony.  While I like to go, we had to sit through 2 ceremonies (different grades) with identical stuff.  I tuned out and played online chess.

Due to being trapped inside the Greensboro Aquatic Center the whole weekend I wasn’t able to prepare any food on Sunday.  When we got home I found the outside refrigerator open so everything in there went bad.  I ended up having a shake for breakfast.  But due to no food I ended up having a bar after OTF and promptly bonked 30 minutes later.  Luckily my Neeley’s Mealies came in and I had a good meal.

Tuesday, May 21, 2017 – Day 21
Did nothing but watch kids swim.  On a better note, I just crossed the half way mark.  19 days to the finish line.

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range.
For the day I burned 2,520 calories.
I took in 2,320 calories.
The net deficit was 200 calories.
I slept 5:58
I drank 106 oz of water.
Bottom line – Today was a big win because I stuck to my plan.  13 prepped meals while at the swim meet weekend.

Tuesday, May 20, 2017 – Day 20
Did nothing but watch the kids swim.  All freaking day.

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range, went to a store and bought Coconut oil for my packed meals.
For the day I burned 2,648 calories.
I took in 2,222 calories.
The net deficit was 407 calories.
I slept 9:13  Same hotel bed, did Sleep Works.
I drank 140 oz of water.
Bottom line – Today was a big win.

Friday, May 19, 2017 – Day 19
OTF in the morning burned 885 calories – 2nd class in the last 2 days.  3 days of swim meets coming up and so I need to be on lock down and take all my meals with me.

I had 5 meals.  I forgot to add olive oil to all of the meals and rolled into meal 4 ready to attack a cake.  I ended up eating a bar Kim made AND put some Ranch dressing on my meal – that one shot up to 858 calories.
For the day I burned 3,298 calories.
I took in 2,594 calories.
The net deficit was 703 calories.
I slept 10:15  In a hotel bed but took Sleep Works.
I drank 109 oz

Thursday, May 18, 2017 – Day 18
Aikido in the morning and burned 296 calories.  OTF in the afternoon burned 886 calories.

I had 5 meals each in the 480 calorie range.
For the day I burned 3,516 calories.
I took in 2,343 calories.
The net deficit was 1,173 calories.
I slept 5:31  I don’t know why I’m not sleeping well, maybe stressed out.
I drank 147 oz of water.
Bottom line – Today was a win.

Wednesday, May 17, 2017 – Day 17
Aikido in the evening and burned 484 calories.  It was very very very hard.  All this test prep is wearing my silly ass down.  It’s good in the sense that I’m getting plenty of reps but the hard part is to be mindless.  Meaning to be “on” but “off” at the same time.  The test is the sensei calling out a specific attack and the technique they want to see demonstrated.  The issue is the library of techniques is so HUGE that it takes some time to “find it” in your mind.  Last night I had to go completely mentally silent so I could get to the right technique when it was called.  Truly this is a very interesting experience.
