September 2013 Physical Accountability

With 9 months done and 3 to go here’s the update:

  • Push up goal – 26,000.  I’ve done 19,088 and am 359 behind the 8 ball.
  • Planks goal – 43,800 seconds.  I’ve done 33,514 and am 874 seconds in front of the 8 ball.
  • Rowing goal – 1,000,000 meters.  I’ve rowed 809,000 meters and am 66,584 meters ahead of the 8 ball.
  • Walking goal – 300 miles.  I’m done.

Thinking differently worked.  I’ve been doing an average of 160 push ups and 6 minutes of planks.  Now that I’m about to eliminate any deficits I can relax a little and don’t need to do my insane 160 push ups a day.  It’s insane for me because the Push ups + rowing strains the area where my forearms meet my arms.  I’m reading a book to learn to stretch those areas out.
